Equipment Inspection

What we do

IBP works with members and experts to develop policies and guidance covering all sectors and requirements of the oil, gas and biofuels industry. Read below about our activities, advocacy, initiatives and priorities for each of our areas of focus.

Equipment Inspection

Equipment Inspection contributes to increasing the safety and reliability of industrial facilities by continuously monitoring the physical condition of their equipment and systems, from manufacture to decommissioning.

Since 1960, IBP has been active in the generation and consolidation of knowledge of the Equipment Inspection area, as it recognizes the importance of this activity for the industrial sector.

Through the activities of the Equipment Inspection Commission (ComInsp) and its Regional Subcommittees (GRINSP), the Institute seeks to broaden and disseminate the safety culture among oil and gas industry stakeholders.

The area also encourages the training and updating of professionals through the promotion and organization of technical courses and events, to engage the entire industry, encouraging the exchange of information and best practices.
