Rio Pipeline begins this Tuesday with a discussion on the role of pipelines in pre-salt developments

Rio Pipeline Conference & Exposition has reached its 10th edition and 20th anniversary. Organized by the Brazilian Institute for Oil, Gas and Biofuels (IBP) and recognized as the second largest pipeline event globally, Rio Pipeline will be held from 22 to 24 September at the SulAmérica Convention Center in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The underlying theme this year will be the important role that subsea pipelines play in pre-salt developments.

A dedicated pavilion for tech startups will be a new feature in this year’s edition. The new “Invention to Innovation” Pavilion will host 15 tech startups showcasing innovative pipeline technology ranging from oil sumps to pipe welding robots.

During the three-day event, visitors at Rio Pipeline will enjoy an integrated program of conference sessions, training courses, exhibitions and side events. In all, 70 companies will showcase new technology and services soon to be introduced into Brazil’s oil and gas industry.
