One of the new additions to this 20th edition of the leading O&G conference in Latin America is the inclusion of the energy transition block in the theme

The call for papers for Rio Oil & Gas, the leading O&G event in Latin America, is open up to February 28th. In its 20th edition, that will be held from September 21 to 24, in Riocentro, in Rio de Janeiro, the conference is the largest business and knowledge platform in the industry, bringing together the main national and international companies in the segment, authorities, academy, associations and civil society.

Under the motto “Energy for a changing world”, the event brought adjustments in the theme. In this first phase, those interested can submit their extended abstract concerning the following subjects: Exploration and Production; Offshore; Midstream and Downstream; Natural Gas; Digital Transformation; Management and Leadership; and Energy Transition, one of the additions to the edition. The selected projects can be presented in two different formats: oral and digital poster.

The papers presented at the congress will run for honorable mentions and will be published in IBP’s online library, with ISSN registration, and in universities’ and partner companies’ libraries. They can also be indexed in international scientific database. The authors will also be able to run for the Plinio Cantanhede Award, delivered to the best technical paper presented at an IBP event.
