The Brazilian Institute for Oil, Gas and Biofuels (IBP) will be initiating new extension program classes in August. The program offering includes three 6 to 11-month courses taught by industry-leading professionals.

Scheduled to begin on 3 August, the Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Business Management program is open for registration until 20 July. The program provides students with an overview of the oil industry, including its historical, geopolitical, regulatory and strategic aspects. With a course load of 250 hours, the course lasts 11 months with lectures on Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 6:30 to 9:30 pm.

The Oil and Natural Gas Production program begins on 7 August. In this course, students are provided the knowledge needed for operations in oil and gas production operations, with a focus on technical activities. The course load is 140 hours over a period of six months, with classes on Fridays and Saturdays. Registration closes on July 24.

The Industrial Instrumentation Engineering program begins on 21 August. The course will provide students with multidisciplinary knowledge on designing and specifying valves, orifice plates and other instrumentation used in process control. Registration closes on 7 August. With a course load of 180 hours, the program is completed in nine months’ time. Lectures are on Fridays and Saturdays. All courses provide certificates.
