The entities signing this statement support maintaining strict technical standards in the testing process for increasing the biodiesel blending mandate in order to ensure operational safety and preserve the integrity of Brazil’s diesel-powered vehicle fleet. They emphasize that full compliance with the Fuel of the Future Law (Law No. 14,993/2024) requires clear evidence of technical feasibility, which necessarily entails comprehensive and transparent testing, both in laboratory settings and under real-world operating conditions, prior to any modification of the blending mandate.
It is our understanding that temporary crises or volatility in international markets should not be used as justification for simplifying technical procedures or relaxing quality requirements.
