Information and Documentation Center (CID)


Opened on March 29, 2001, The Helio Beltrão Information and Documentation Center (CID) is one of IBP’s premier information resources. Created to disseminate and provide access to industry information, the library supports the industry’s research and knowledge development activities.

The library collection includes books, reference works, brochures, technical papers, journals, journal articles, dictionaries, encyclopedias, yearbooks, maps, theses, workbooks, lectures and presentations.

The collection is ordered by subject using the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) and covers the following areas of knowledge: Energy, Oil, Natural Gas, Biofuels, Petrochemicals, Asphalt, Fuel, Lubricants, Laboratory, Supply Logistics, Environment, Equipment Inspection, Instrumentation, Safety, Social Responsibility, Occupational Health and Technology.

Target Audience

In addition to IBP professionals and members, the library is intended for teachers and students, government agencies, technical documentation centers, libraries, universities and other educational institutions, and the general public. The collection can be searched either locally or online and will return either the document itself or bibliographic references for a given field of research.

IBP members should contact the Information and Documentation Center for instructions on obtaining credentials for access to other available library documents.

Open hours:
Monday-Friday | 9 am to 6 pm
Special open hours will be communicated to IBP training program students.
