WPC Future Leaders Forum 2016

In 2016, from 24 to 27 October, IBP – Brazilian Petroleum, Natural Gas & Biofuels Institute brought to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the fifth edition of the largest gathering of young professionals in the petroleum industry. Under the motto “Game changers: new leaders for a new competitive energy industry”, the 2016 edition of the event, created by the World Petroleum Council (WPC), had as pillars of discussion topics such as industry sustainability, business leadership and technology & innovation.

FLF is a global and collaborative event.
To organize this 5th edition here in Brazil, young professionals from all around the globe did a lot of research, organized a lot of focus groups, discussions and meetings.

Professor at the Economics Institute at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Marcelo Colomer is researcher of the Energy Economics Group at UFRJ. He has a doctor’s degree in Industry and Technology Economics at UFRJ, a master’s degree in Industry and Technology Economics at UFRJ and a bachelor’s degree in Economic Sciences at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). Researcher at University Paris XI, he is also a specialist in the Oil & Gas industry working since 2004 with research in Industry Organization, the Dynamics of Energy Industries, Regulation and Energy Policies.

Between 2001 and 2004 he worked in Azerbaijan with managerial responsibilities within government affairs, and gas marketing. Formerly, he held the position as Statoil’s vice president for U.S. Government Affairs in Washington, D.C. between 2009 and 2011. He has also assumed responsibilities as Senior Vice President South America in Development and Production International and Country Manager in Brazil on mid-year 2014. Norwegian citizen born in 1971, Mr. Eitrheim holds a degree in political science from the University of Bergen, Norway, and University College Dublin, Ireland.

He has more than 34 years of experience and knowledge in the energy and industry sectors around the world in both public and private service. At IEA, Naceur oversees the Energy and Environment, Energy Technology Policy and Energy Supply and Demand Outlook divisions, being responsible for the production of the World Energy Outlook and the Energy Technology Perspectives. After a long career in Schlumberger, in 2014, he became Tunisia’s Minister for Industry, Energy and Mines in a government tasked to lead the country’s first fully democratic elections. A French-Tunisian dual national, Naceur is a graduate from Ecole Polytechnique and Ecole Normale Supérieure of France.

Eduardo Costa is CEO of Ouro Negro, a technology and innovation company directed to the Oil & Gas Business, since January 2015.
Before that, he was a Business Development Director at Lupatech S.A, Co-founder Director of Gavea Sensors Sistemas de Medição, a fiber optics start-up, and Product Manager at Embratel S.A.
With a great variety of social and collaborative projects as part of his background, Eduardo Costa has a Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications and Production Engineering, a Master’s Degree in Production Engineering and an MBA in Business Administration from ESADE Business School in Barcelona.

Currently the Branch Director at Microsoft, assuming to assume the RJ&MG state EPG operations. Ana is active in the technology market since 1988, she worked with innovation projects focused in hybrid networks, in charge of downsing projects. Her first management challenge was at Lachmann Group. After, she accepted the invitation to join the AMANCO GROUP assuming as CIO in charge of the reengineering project. During 5 years she managed the implementation of ORACLE, PEOPLESOFT, I2, MOOPY among other systems that supported the innovation process. After 5 years working as a client, Ana was invited by ORACLE to take care of the office in Paraná State, and afterwards to do the same at the northeast of Brazil. After concluding these missions she was named manager for executive accounts in Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo State.

In 2001 she assumed as a Sales VP at MARAMBAIA Capital to support the launching of 3 companies, a Wireless ISP, a PLC industry, and a software company. During this period she became W2I ( Wireless Internet Institute - ONU ) director in Brazil participating at the most important wireless internet projects in the country.
In 2004 she was invited by Sistema FIRJAN to lead the TIC economic development program and she became the Executive Director at FUNPAT (High Technology Park Foundation) representing the RJ's Industries interest at the TELECOM arena. In parallel, in 2010, Ana became the Innovation's Assessor at FIRJAN, in charge of the Knowledge Sharing corporative project.
Ana is graduated in Computer Science from Universidade Católica de Petrópolis, and have MBA in Gestão Empresarial from FGV.
