OTC Brazil 2025 expo showcases technologies and experiences that point to the future of offshore energy
OTC Brazil 2025, Latin America's leading offshore industry event, has established itself as one of the largest innovation and business forums in the oil and gas industry. The event is jointly organized by the Brazilian Institute of Oil and Gas (IBP) and the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC), bringing together over 23,000 participants from 53 countries and more than 250 exhibiting companies.[NC1]
The expo area reflects the sector’s diversity and technological strength, with solutions ranging from decarbonization and digitization to operational safety and new interactive experiences.
Among the highlights, Ambipar, the OTC Brasil 2025's official emissions offset partner, presents its environmental solutions to make the event carbon neutral. The company is responsible for measuring, reducing, and fully offsetting greenhouse gas emissions generated during the three days of activities, applying internationally recognized methodologies. At the booth, the public can learn about the services offered by the global leader in sustainability, such as environmental consulting programs, waste management, decommissioning, and environmental monitoring.
TotalEnergies presents the AUSEA Methane Tracker, a pioneering technology developed in partnership with the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) and the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne. The innovation uses ultra-light sensors installed on drones to detect and quantify methane and CO₂ emissions in real time, one of the solutions that support the company's goal of achieving near-zero methane emissions by 2030.
Priner brings to the fair the Pressurized Enclosure, an ideal solution for containing sparks in classified areas, such as offshore platforms, refineries, and industrial plants. Integrated with welding and air conditioning control systems, the equipment increases safety and productivity in hot work, reinforcing the company's commitment to protecting workers and operations.
Mecus, on the other hand, presents its subsea engineering solutions for mature fields, focusing on safety and efficiency in critical operations, such as decommissioning and reactivation of wells. The company performs complex services with ROVs (remotely operated vehicles), including the removal of old equipment and the installation of isolation plugs, operations that require high precision and technical expertise.
The program also features the Prio Talks arena, located at the Prio stand, which offers debates and presentations on innovation, sustainability, talent development, and the challenges of offshore operations. The space, designed to promote dynamic exchanges, is one of the busiest at the fair, with interactive experiences, exclusive gifts, and activations that bring the public closer to the company's culture.
The OTC Brazil expo is also marked by technological immersion. At the Petrobras booth, visitors embark on a virtual journey aboard the FPSO P-77, in the Búzios field, through virtual reality glasses. Shell promotes an interactive sound experience about the oil exploration process, with quizzes and eco-friendly gifts, while ExxonMobil presents a schedule of lectures on Research, Development, and Innovation projects carried out in partnership with Brazilian institutions.
The IBP, organizer of the event, is present with a booth full of activations, lectures, and networking spaces, reinforcing its role as a facilitator of strategic connections and promoter of an environment favorable to innovation.
With more than 200 exhibiting companies, including Equinor, CNOOC, Kongsberg, and Triunfo, the OTC Brazil 2025 expo has established itself as a showcase for the technologies and solutions that are shaping the future of offshore energy in Brazil and around the world.
