Novo membro da Diretoria Executiva do IBP é eleito em Assembleia
The Brazilian Institute of Oil, Gas and Biofuels (IBP) held the Extraordinary General Assembly, on September 14th, at its headquarters in Rio de Janeiro. On the agenda, attended by 30 representatives of the associated member companies, was the election of the new member of the executive board.
The position previously occupied by Leonardo Junqueira, Repsol Sinopec Brasil CEO, will now be filled by Mauro Andrade, Equinor Vice President of Supply Chain, elected for a two-year term.
The president of the IBP, José Firmo, highlighted the conciliatory work of Junqueira as a member of the board. "He had a very important role, which is to maintain communication between the IBP Board and the E&P Board in an aligned and harmonious way. It is important to maintain this connection in a fluid way, a role that Mauro will also do efficiently”, he says.
Firmo also mentioned the work of the Institute to strengthen its communication with the public, in a modern language that translates to society the relevance of the industry, the benefits it generates in the economy and in jobs generation. This change points to a greater engagement in discussions of relevant topics and evaluation of strategic alternatives, towards a possible transformation of the industry in the coming years.[
