Hélio Beltrão Information and Documentation Center (CID)
Since October 1958, when the founding collection of the IBP Library was first assembled, the Brazilian Institute of Oil and Gas (IBP) has acknowledged the value of information and knowledge management for the development of the industry.
Renovated in 2025, the current IBP Library remains committed to collecting, organizing, providing, and disseminating specialized information. The Library is now one of the main information services for the energy industry in Brazil, supporting research, knowledge generation, and innovation.
With over 35,000 printed and digital publications, the collection broadly covers the most relevant topics in the sector.

Services
The IBP Library is a set of services supporting training and research, with emphasis on:
- Loan and consultation of books and bibliographic materials: a collection of over 20,000 items, including books, articles, monographs, maps, periodicals, and other content, available for loans (exclusively for IBP members and UnIBP students) and on-site consultation (available to the general public).
- Lounge and private room for study and meetings: Space equipped with a table, TV for presentations and videoconferencing, Wi-Fi, and amenities for members and students.
Booking the private room is optional but recommended. For reservations, send an email to biblioteca@ibp.org.br
Member-only perks
Members have access to exclusive services, such as:
- Loans of publications from the physical collection
- Full access to exclusive digital publications
- Private use of study rooms (by appointment)
- Request for customized research on the energy sector
(subject to the availability of free public sources)
