ESG at the Supply Chain WG
The goal of this WG is to propose a methodology for suppliers of member companies (upstream, midstream, and downstream) to discuss the implementation and progress of their ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategies.
The Climate Change Committee aims to broaden the understanding of IBP member companies regarding the impacts of climate change on attracting investment, funding new projects, maintaining the development of productive activities, and, through the expertise of the oil and gas industry, participating in discussions and technological, regulatory, adaptation, mitigation, and energy transition solutions on the path to a low-carbon economy in Brazil.

Working Groups
CCUS WG
The goal of this WG is to strengthen the IBP's commitment in line with the Paris Agreement and lead the development of the CCUS industry in Brazil, working on regulatory frameworks to ensure the legal certainty necessary for establishing the value chain and all infrastructure, in addition to promoting training, qualifications, and education for professionals and fostering the exchange of information, knowledge, and experiences that are fundamental for the evolution of technical issues related to CCUS in Brazil and the consequent attraction of investments.
GHG Emissions Inventory WG
The purpose of this WG is to conduct a quantitative survey of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from IBP member companies through an emissions inventory to support the mapping and visibility of GHG emissions in the sector; identify opportunities for decarbonization, mitigation, and offsetting of emissions considering social and economic impacts; and define targets compatible with Brazil's economy-wide NDC.
Offshore Wind WG
The WG's goal is to contribute to the energy transition and meet the specific interests of member companies, with a focus on defending technical, regulatory, sustainability, and R&D aspects that provide conditions to attract investments through a process that offers legal certainty to developers for the transfer of maritime area use, considering the technical, economic, and financial capacity of interested parties and adopting a judgment criterion limited to the highest value offered for payment for the occupation/retention of the area.
Reducing Methane Emissions in E&P WG
The goal of this WG is to promote the exchange of experiences and information and, through qualitative indicators, build business cases on reducing methane emissions in offshore E&P activities. This includes activities to support the elimination of routine flaring by 2030, as well as contributing to government policies and regulatory discussions aimed at reducing methane emissions.
Carbon Pricing WG
The purpose of this WG is to analyze and discuss the different settings of carbon pricing instruments that may eventually be adopted in Brazil, as well as to assess and propose solutions for the impacts on the oil and gas sector, considering the business opportunities and climate commitments made by the Brazilian government.
Hydrogen WG
The goal of this WG is to discuss and contribute to the formulation and implementation of a national strategy for low-carbon hydrogen.
The goal of the Social Responsibility Committee is to propose methodologies, policies, and guidelines that enable IBP member companies to incorporate social responsibility concepts and tools into their investment strategies and project management, as well as to disseminate best practices and contribute to the construction and consolidation of a competitive industry whose benefits are widely recognized by society and that preserves the economic, social, and environmental balance of its businesses.

Human Rights WG
The goal of this WG is to promote the exchange of experiences and information on human rights risk analysis at facilities and throughout the sector's value chain.
Volunteering WG
The purpose of this WG is to encourage volunteer projects in the oil and gas industry. Currently, the main project is the Entrepreneurial Trail, which consists of a series of entrepreneurship programs developed by the NGO Junior Achievement for public high school students, thereby strengthening the curriculum and reducing school dropout rates.
The SMS Committee aims to develop process safety guidelines based on risk analysis in the areas of environment, health, and safety related to business management in the oil and gas industry. This will allow us to achieve our goal of developing leaders who are committed and prepared for risk management in companies.
