ABNT NBR 16619 WG
The goal of this WG is to present new requirements and procedures for creating interstitial space by constructing double internal walls in single-walled tanks for storing liquids and fuel installed in SASCs.
ABNT NBR 16764 WG
The goal of this WG is to technically review the general design principles and requirements for the installation of components for the underground fuel storage system (SASC), used and contaminated lubricating oil (OLUC) and ARLA 32.
ABNT NBR 17505-1 WG
The goal of this WG is to define the terms used and the general provisions applicable to Parts 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 of ABNT NBR 17505, whose main goal is to establish the requirements for the design of facilities for the storage, handling, and use of flammable and combustible liquids, including liquid waste, contained in stationary tanks and/or containers.
ABNT NBR 17505-4 WG
The goal of this WG is to technically review the requirements for the storage of flammable and combustible liquids under the following conditions: a) Drums or other containers with capacities of less than 450 liters. b) Portable tanks with capacities of less than 2,500 liters. c) Intermediate bulk containers with capacities of less than 3,000 liters.
ABNT NBR 17505-7 WG
The goal of this WG is to technically review the minimum requirements for the design of water and foam firefighting systems for storage facilities for flammable and combustible liquids contained in stationary tanks with a capacity greater than 230 L, at a pressure equal to or less than 103.9 kPa, measured at the top of the tanks.
ABNT NBR 15216 WG
The goal of this WG is to technically review the requirements and procedures for quality control in the storage, transportation, and supply of aviation fuels (QAV-1 and GAV-100 LL).
ABNT NBR 7821 WG
The goal of this WG is to technically review the minimum requirements to be followed for materials, design, manufacture, assembly, and testing of welded, cylindrical, vertical, non-buried, fixed or floating roof carbon steel tanks intended for the storage of petroleum and its liquid derivatives.
The Duct Committee was created to contribute to the drafting of policies and guidelines that promote Brazilian pipeline activities for the transportation of oil, gas, and biofuels, considering aspects related to quality, cost, safety, and environmental preservation.

The purpose of the Oil and Oil Derivatives Transportation System Study Committee – Ducts is to develop technical content for standardization in the field of land pipelines for the transportation of oil, liquid fuels, and other derivatives, regarding design, construction and assembly, operation, and general matters.

Working Groups
Pipeline Risks WG
Among the main topics addressed by the group are the creation of a national database of pipeline failures, ALARP demonstration in quantitative risk studies, structural reliability for failure rate calculation, among others. Through regular meetings with representatives of stakeholders and institutions associated with this industry segment (such as operators, owners, regulatory agencies, among others), a Good Practice Handbook will be created, explaining the group's technical understanding of each topic discussed. The Pipeline Risk WG was established following the Pipeline Risk Management workshop held in October 2021 at the IBP to address relevant topics associated with this subject.
The Equipment Inspection Commission (COMINSP) promotes discussions aimed at expanding and disseminating a culture of safety, promoting inspection activities and improving structural integrity, with a view to increasing the reliability and safety of facilities. The technical group also presents proposals related to NR-13, when relevant, and contributes to the drafting of Inspection Guides and other IBP publications.
