Ethics, Compliance and Bylaws
Compliance
The ongoing partnership between senior management, employees, and member companies is crucial to strengthening the institutional role of the IBP and building an increasingly ethical, solid, and sustainable oil, gas, and energy industry in Brazil.
The IBP acts as the leading institutional voice of the sector and, given the evolution of the market and the organization itself, reaffirms its commitment to the highest standards of integrity, compliance, and excellence in all its activities. Our ethical standard is the foundation of our credibility and broadens the scope of our activities.
We seek to be an active agent in spreading a culture of integrity across society through educational projects, events, publications, and collective actions promoted by our Compliance Committee.
Compliance Committee
The Compliance Committee's initiatives aim to position the IBP as a benchmark for best practices in the oil and gas sector, especially in terms of preventing corruption and strengthening regulatory compliance.
The Committee acts as a liaison between member companies, institutional partners, and regulatory bodies, expanding access to information and promoting the exchange of experiences and technical knowledge.
Among its main deliverables is the Guide to Good Practices in Corporate Integrity for the Oil and Gas Sector, a collaborative document that consolidates recommendations and ethical references, in partnership with the Ministry of Transparency and the CGU. The publication was reviewed in 2022 to incorporate updated market trends.
The Commission is also responsible for promoting and monitoring the Integrity Pact, a pledge made by IBP member companies to uphold high standards of ethics and transparency in the way they do business.
