Brazil’s pre-salt developments, which have recently topped 1 million barrels per day, will be one of the featured topics at OTC Brasil 2015, a world-leading oil industry event taking place from October 27 to 29 at the Riocentro Convention Center, in Rio de Janeiro.

On the first day of the event, a “Pre-salt Developments” panel will discuss challenges and successes in exploration and production in these areas, with five expert speakers from Petrobras, one from PPSA, two from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and one from Bureau Veritas.

On the 28th, Petrobras E&P Director Solange Guedes will speak at a topical luncheon on the development of Brazil’s pre-salt and ultra-deep water innovation. Also during the event, Distinguished Achievement Awards will be presented to Petrobras oilfield engineer Antônio Carlos Capeleiro and Subsea7 Buoy Supporting Risers for their contributions to pre-salt developments.

Brazil’s pre-salt fields will also be a focus of the last day (29th) of OTC Brasil 2015, with Petrobras E&P Executive Manager for Libra, Anelise Lara, participating on a panel on this mega-project and next-generation developments at the new frontier of exploration off Brazil. Pre-salt developments will also be a key subject in panels and technical sessions throughout the rest of OTC. See the event program here.
