In August, the Brazilian Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels Institute (IBP) has signed agreements with commerce chambers from Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

The partnerships aim at fostering the institutions’ actions alongside each of the associations, furthering international expertise in the oil and gas industry, in addition to promoting events, courses and other initiatives.

According to Rosângela Nucara, IBP’s executive manager of Institutional Relations, this type of alliance is crucial to increase the institution’s capillarity, consolidating its position as a major player in the market discussions nationally or globally. “Besides improving our knowledge management, these kind of partnerships are essential to provide to our associate members new opportunities of business, knowledge and projection”, she said.

Hanno Erwes, executive director of the Brazil-Germany Chamber in Rio de Janeiro, believes the initiative will bring value for both institutions. “We welcome the partnership with IBP, the main representative of the oil and gas industry in Brazil, because it allows us to expand the business, knowledge sharing and networking possibilities. Everybody wins, especially the segment”, he defended.
