Jorge Camargo, IBP’s chairman

The Brazilian Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels Institute (IBP) elected, during its 58th General Meeting at its head office in Rio de Janeiro, the new members of its Board of Directors, as well as its Administrative Council and Audit Committee for the positions whose terms expire this March. The new terms begin next Friday, April 1st.

During the event that brought together the Institute’s associates, the financial statement, as well as the changes in its Articles of Incorporation and report of activities for the year ended in 2015 were submitted. According to the IBP’s president, Jorge Camargo, “the Institute has undergone deep changes to adjust to the new market. We face a year of crisis and we had to adapt to this new reality”.

Executive Board
In the Executive Board, Nelson Leite (FMC Technologies), was reelected for another two-year term. In turn, Clarissa Lins (Catavento) and Fernando Assumpção Borges (Petrobras) were elected to complete the terms of Armando Hashimoto (Petrobras) and Mauricio Figueiredo (Baker Hughes).

Administrative Council
In the Administrative Council, Armando Guedes Coelho was reelected for another two-year term. To occupy the vacant position of Nelson Silva (BG Brasil E&P), the associates elected Carlos Tadeu Fraga (Gran Energia). Positions in the Board of Directors were also taken by Braskem’s EVP Marcelo Cerqueira de Oliveira; President of Chevron Brazil, Javier La Rosa; and the acting president of Petrobras Distribuidora S.A, Ivan de Sá Pereira Junior.

Audit Committee
In the Audit Committee, the associates reelected Antero de Almeida Costa (Ipiranga) and Leonardo Moreira de Paiva Junqueira (Repsol Sinopec Brasil). Deputies to these positions are: Adauto Pereira Carneiro (Queiroz Galvão Exploração e Produção), Liliane Tucci Smith Freitas (Barra Energia) and Rafael Matas Luz (Ipiranga). Also, Ana Paula França Vieira Zettel, from Petrobras, was elected to replace Maria Alice Deschamps Cavalcanti.
