Develop a successful career could be a challenge, especially to young people who are starting their careers in the job market. The continuous digital transformation that has been changing markets also contributes to worsen that challenge.

Thinking in the future of those students and in career opportunities that oil and gas industry can offer, the Youth Professional program, created in 2002, aims to gather oil and gas CEOs and specialists, recruiters, HR experts, young leaders and students to engage and integrate them to the national oil and gas industry.

This year, the event, that happens September 25 parallel with Rio Oil & Gas 2018 – the largest oil and gas event in Latin America – will discuss career paths for young leaders and how to stand out in the digital transformation, considering the innovation and future of oil and gas in the midst of a technological and socioeconomic revolution.

According to Eduardo Costa, Ouro Negro CEO and guest speaker, the technological revolution process that oil and gas industry is facing, switching to a low carbon economy, will stimulate disruptive innovation, drive by the development of startups, and a new professional profile.

“Brazil has a regulation environment that fosters investments in technological development through startups, and this is important to worldwide and Brazilian oil and gas industry. And looking forward, I see that creativity will be important. Not only maintain, but also develop creativity, because it will be the central element in the industry’s transformation and innovation process and I hope the young professional become the leader of this change”, considered Eduardo.

To young people, the event is an opportunity to practice all the knowledge accomplished at university, engaging with oil and gas biggest companies CEOs. “We have someone that comes from the sector sharing ideas, in a dynamic and integrated environment, and we see what HR experts are requiring nowadays”, added Marcus Rodrigues, UniRio University engineer student.

The programme includes interactive activities such as chat with CEOs, HR recruiters and experts specialized in O&G industry, TED-Talk type presentations, debates and energetic pitches, in a dynamic and integrated networking environment to deliver a full knowledge experience, networking, inspiration and next steeps career’s planning.
