O&G Techweek 2018

Get ready for the Oil & Gas TechWeek 2018, the largest event on technology for the Oil and Gas industry to be held in Brazil. The second edition of the conference will take place from September 24th to 27th, alongside Rio Oil & Gas 2018, in Rio de Janeiro, and will showcase the latest technological innovation around the world.

The Oil & Gas TechWeek 2018 will unveil the megatrends that will pave the segment´s future, as well as discuss the greatest technologies and innovation that will reset our industry.

During the 4 days of the event, we will address the perspectives of the market new technologies.

• Which are the effects and expectations of its applications?

There will be discussions about hot topics for the industry, such as the Internet of Things, Big Data, Analytics, Nanotechnology, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Cyber Security, Drones and more.

Oil & Gas TechWekk 2018, to be held alongside Rio Oil & Gas, reedits the concept launched in 2016, when, in addition to having an exhibition area, the participants also indicates a specialist to give a presentation in the central arena.

Constantino is Electronic Engineer (Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica) and MSc in Computer Science (Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais). Currently, he is Managing director at Accenture Digital, dedicated to developing the digital transformation agenda cross-industry with focus in CNR, Energy and Products. He has 30 years of experience in industrial automation and production management and has personal interest in several topics, such as: IT – OT convergence, Remote Operating Centers, Predictive Asset Management and Predictive Production Analytics.

Prof. Dr. Jorge Otávio Trierweiler is a full professor at the Chemical Engineering Department of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Brazil. He is graduated in chemical engineer in 1988 at UFRGS, with M.Sc. Degree obtained at PEQ/COPPE/UFRJ (Brazil) in 1991 and Dr.-Ing. at Dortmund University (Germany) in 1996 both in chemical engineering in process control and optimization. In 2001 he held a postdoctoral internship in biosensors at Leibniz University Hannover (Germany) and in 2008, in biorefineries and bioprocesses control at University RWTH Aachen (Germany). Additionally, in 2005 he completed an MBA in business management at UFRGS. Since 1997, he is the Head of the research group called GIMSCOP (Group of Intensification, Modeling, Simulation, Control, and Optimization of Processes) at UFRGS. He has supervised more than 50 M.Sc. and Ph.D. theses and has more than 170 articles published in scientific journals, events, and international conferences (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Jorge_Trierweiler/contributions). In the past, with some of his former students, he also founded the spin-off company TriSolutions (http://www.trisolutions.com.br) that offers services and software for process modeling, optimization, and advanced control. Since its foundation in 2001, the company has successfully acted as a bridge between industry and the university. In 2010, as result of his outstanding contributions to education and training in the science, engineering, and technology of instrumentation, systems, and automation, he received the “Donald P. Wellington Lordelo leads Solution Marketing and Business Development at Equinix in Brazil, with + 10 years of experience in the global IT and Telecom market and currently Business Interconnection specialist. Currently, he pioneers activities in Digital Transformation projects through Interconnection via Business Ecosystems and Digital Business Platforms. It is responsible for promoting the creation of Interconnection as a market category in Brazil. He previously worked in the areas of Product Marketing and Product Management, having worked in Datacenter, Cloud Computing, Multi-Cloud, IoT and Edge Computing training and projects.

Graduated in Applied and Computational Mathematics at UNICAMP (2003), Masters in Applied Mathematics also from UNICAMP (2006) and PhD student in the program of Science and Petroleum Engineering at UNICAMP. He has experience in Geosciences, with emphasis on Mathematics Geophysics (seismic, image wave, finite differences and numerical analysis) and Petroleum Engineering (numerical simulation of reservoirs, economic evaluation, history matching and production strategy optimization). Currently working as Researcher at Repsol Sinopec Brasil where coordinates and develops R&D projects with universities and companies operating in the oil and gas industry.
