The subsea industry must change its mindset to be competitive and learn how to bring light to real-time decisions that could increase efficiency and save costs with safety. There is no room to stay in the deep dark ocean anymore. The ongoing industry´s revolution has already lessons that can show us the direction.

Seeking to be “Underwater for longer: Subsea 4.0”, the IBP – Brazilian Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels Institute, in partnership with Brazil and Macaé sections of the “Society of Petroleum Engineers” – SPE, held once again in Brazil the Subsea Forum Rio, in reference to the challenge of taking place in the future of a digital economy.

In its fourth edition, the forum, held every two years, became an opportunity for users and national and international experts to share experiences and promote new initiatives that will bring benefits to the subsea segment.

Focused on subsea oil production systems, the event addressed the situation of technologies and experiences related to equipment, processing systems, pipelines, risers and subsea umbilicals, development of new fields and revitalization of production systems, production management and integrity and the competitiveness in the Brazilian industry.
