WPC Future Leaders Forum 2016

In 2016, from 24 to 27 October, IBP – Brazilian Petroleum, Natural Gas & Biofuels Institute brought to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the fifth edition of the largest gathering of young professionals in the petroleum industry. Under the motto “Game changers: new leaders for a new competitive energy industry”, the 2016 edition of the event, created by the World Petroleum Council (WPC), had as pillars of discussion topics such as industry sustainability, business leadership and technology & innovation.

Organization

FLF is a global and collaborative event.
To organize this 5th edition here in Brazil, young professionals from all around the globe did a lot of research, organized a lot of focus groups, discussions and meetings.

He holds Bachelor and Master’s Degrees in Physics from Groningen University and a PhD in Physics and Mathematical Sciences from Leiden University in the Netherlands.
As from early 2016, he started leading the Shell-BG Transition efforts in Rio, where he will also take up his role as GM for Libra and Iara later in the year.
Over the past 24 years, Marco worked in a slate of Reservoir Engineering, Technical Management, Project Management, New Business Development and Strategy and Planning roles in Shell’s Upstream and Gas and Power businesses in The Netherlands, Venezuela, Argentina, Russia, Brasil and Canada.
Marco is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and a Chartered Engineer with the Institute for Mining and Metallurgy in the UK. In his spare time he loves running and going to the movies and has a passion for the latest and greatest in Roller coasters.

He held various management positions in Engineering at the company for over 30 years.
Moro joined Petrobras as a Construction, Assembly and Installation technician and witnessed the appearance of the first offshore platforms at Engineering, built in the Campos Basin. The engineer was in charge of deep-water Exploration and Production projects for the Roncador, Marlim Sul, and Jubarte fields.

Mr. Ali Rahneshin is official employees of National Iranian Petrochemical Company (NIPC) and Iran Ministry of Petroleum(NIOC). He is Official Representative from Iran Oil Industry Youth Committee in World Petroleum Council Youth Committee (WPC YC) from 2012 up to 2017.In the other side he is Leader of Youth Connect in WPC Youth Professional Connect in LinkedIn.

He has been 14 years' experience in upstream from 2002 to 2006 in Central Iranian Oil Company as administrative affair and Downstream in Khuzestan Petrochemical Co (KZPC-Polycarbonate Plant) in process area from 2006 to 2008, Borzouyeh Petro Refinery Complex in commercial department (BPC- Aromatic Plant) from 2008 up to now a subsidiary of National Iranian Petrochemical Company.

Meanwhile, he is DBA student now. His interesting field is Researcher in on Futures studies in Energy, Environmental issues, CSR & sustainability in Iran Oil & Gas & Petrochemical Company.

Victor Alves is graduated in Oil and Gas Technology from University Estacio de Sá. Since 2010 he is a member of the Youth Committee of IBP, taking Coordination in 2013. He was part of the Mentoring Program WPC as a Mentee from 2012 to 2014. Since 2012 is member of the SPE, and in 2016 became Director of Social Medias and Internet.

Victor has 6 years of experience in Oil and Gas area, specifically with Field Operations. He began his career working in the field by Engineering and Transocean UTC, and since 2011 is at FMC Technologies, where he worked in the technical area, contracts and is currently Coordinator of the Integrated Services unit Surface Services. In 2014 he received the Vanguard Award and Knowledge Management Advocate Award, awards granted to employees who have excelled in collaborative action and innovation that bring value to the business and working in the spread of the GC within the organization, respectively. Since then, he is Core Team Member of two major networks of FMC Technologies Knowledge Management System: School of Engineering and Network Leaders.
